Baby & Toddler Dance Classes
Wee Tots from 12 months
When your wee one starts walking they are super keen to be on the move and to explore their world. Wee Tots is a fun, high energy 35 minute class for toddlers and their adults.
This is the stage when we can start to introduce some of the fundamentals of dance. Using stories, music and games, our sessions encourage children to use their imagination as we embark on some fun adventures – together with Della Duck and Ralphie Ram of course!
Tiny Dancersage 2 years
At this age, children have plenty of energy and are hungry to keep learning and discovering new skills. Our Tiny Dancers class supports this, with a slightly longer 40 minute session in the same fun, welcoming and inclusive environment. Still with some input from their adults, we support children to grow in confidence, interact with others and make the most of their inquisitive, imaginative minds!
Della Duck and Ralphie Ram continue to join the children on their adventures which weave together music, games and dance steps. We introduce team work alongside ballet terminology as our tiny dancers gain more experience.
age 3 years
Now your dancer is ready to explore on their own! Grown ups get to sit this one out whilst your child has the opportunity to engage with others in a group setting. Our Little Dancers class focuses on developing travelling, strength and co-ordination skills. Perfect for hungry minds!
Expect a high energy and imaginative 45 minute class, with plenty to stimulate through music and adventure. All helped along by our friends Della Duck and Ralphie Ram as our Little Dancers move towards their graduation from DN Dance Babies to the next stage on their journey.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I attend a make-up class if I miss one?
We’re happy to help where we can and will be pleased to arrange a make-up class at one of our other venues on another day if space allows.
Just log in to your online account via our Customer Portal, or give us a call and we’ll book you in, subject to availability.
What should I wear?
You don’t need any special uniforms or footwear for DN Dance Babies! Our little dancers just need to be comfortable so should wear something that’s easy to move around in.
If they’re walking they need to have bare feet for our sessions, so that they can avoid slipping. We ask all adults to remove their outdoor shoes for the classes.
Can I bring my buggy into the venue?
Of course! Each venue is accessible, and we’ll have a buggy park area ready inside the studio space for use while the class is taking place.
